MASTER CONTROL OPERATOR - PART TIME

Indiana’s NewsCenter is growing and has an immediate opening for a Part Time Master Control Operator.

Responsibilities include:

-- Ensure the on-air products look clean and run smoothly.

-- Monitor various levels and signals from multiple transmitter sites and make sure they are operating properly.

-- Monitor all in bound and out bound signals to ensure good video and audio quality.

-- Ensure correct spots air during programming. Note discrepancies using Excel Spreadsheet.

-- Broadcast the daily programming streams per the log.

-- Ingest shows and spots for future playback.

-- Perform quality assurance checks as required to achieve proper audio/video.

-- Make sound judgment calls when necessary, with business implications in mind.

-- Keep clear communications across all shifts with every department.

-- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle pressure in an on-air environment.

-- Follow all FCC regulations.

-- Must be detailed-oriented.

-- Effectively manage multiple priorities.

-- Ability to think quickly & keep pace in a fast moving environment.

-- Willingness to work overtime, holidays and on weekends with short notice.

Solid computer and communication skills are a must. Prior broadcasting experience a plus.
