Billy Elvis was born in Detroit Michigan, and was raised a diehard fan of Motor City sports teams including the Tigers, Red Wings, Lions, & Pistons. Please don't hold that against him.

Having lived in Fort Wayne for two decades, Billy has also become a huge fan of Summit City teams as well, including the Komets, Tin Caps, & Mad Ants.

Billy played all sports while growing up, and even considered playing college football at Central Michigan University after earning Michigan all state honors as a high school linebacker. But broadcasting won out as his true passion.

Throughout his radio & television career that began right after High School, Billy has maintained that the lessons he has learned by watching & playing sports have taught him valuable life lessons. Things like team work, hard work, game plan, preparation, setting goals, and the thrill of victory & agony of defeat. Billy brings this love of sports to his radio show & newscasts everyday, and his sense of humor, passion & competitiveness is also very evident.
