Madeline Shine

Multi-Media Journalist

Madeline Shine is a Multi-Media Journalist at 21Alive, joining our team in November, 2013. A Fort Wayne native born and raised, Madeline attended Homestead High School and graduated from IPFW in the spring of 2013 with a degree in Media and Public Communications and a minor in Journalism.

Throughout her years at IPFW she was a reporter and anchor for the on-campus news show, Mastodon Minutes. Madeline also spent five months as an intern at 21Alive in 2012, and speaks conversational Spanish.

Madeline has always had a strong passion for news and has known it since a young age. What she loves the most about Fort Wayne is the ever-growing community. To her, it is important to report stories that engage and connect the viewers..

Along with working at 21Alive, Madeline also works at the Jorgensen Family YMCA as the Wellness Coordinator and a cycling instructor. Madeline is very involved with Crossfit and horseback riding. Staying active is her favorite thing to do.
