Linda Jackson graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.

She anchors Indiana's NewsCenter on NBC33 at 5:30 P.M., Prime News on The Fort Wayne CW and MyTV Fort Wayne at 10 P.M. and Indiana's NewsCenter on NBC33 at 11 P.M.

She joined Indiana's NewsCenter in the summer of 1988 as a producer and reporter before anchoring the morning and noon newscasts and then moving into the evening anchor chair in 1992. She has also served as a newsroom manager.

Linda has received several industry awards from the Indiana News Photographers Association and from the Indiana Associated Press including a 2005 AP First Place and a 2007 AP Honorable Mention. She is a Poynter Institute honors graduate, a 2004 “Future 40” award recipient from the Fort Wayne Business Journal and a first place Indiana Hospital and Health Association award-winner for her 2004 medical series called “A Gift for Peggy.” Readers of the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette voted Linda "Best TV Anchor" in 2004. The “Whatzup” Readers Poll named Linda favorite television personality in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Linda enjoys broadcast journalism because it's a "people business." She chose her career because of that and because of the visual images that go hand in hand in delivering broadcast news, not to mention the immediacy of the medium. She enjoys meeting new people and the variety in her job… no two days are the same. One of her passions is her community work.

Fort Wayne is home for Linda, her husband and son. They love it here. She is originally from Peru, Indiana. Several of her family members live there. She grew up performing in the Peru Circus spending many years flying on a trapeze. Her interests include reading, sports with her family, circuses and walking.
