Chris Daniels comes to Fort Wayne and Indiana's Newscenter from Buffalo, New York where he had spent the past 10 years forecasting challenging weather by Lake Erie.

He joins Indiana NewasCenter's weather team comprised of Curtis Smith, Jason Meyers and Jay Walker. Chris is Indiana NewsCenter's forecaster on Indiana NewsCenter Mornings from 5-7 A.M. on WPTA 21-Alive, Indiana's NewsCenter Plus on NBC-33 from 5-7 P.M. and can be seen 24/7 on NBC WeatherPlus+. Already he is gaining a loyal following.

Chris succeeds Jay Walker as morning and noon forecaster on Indiana's NewsCenter broadcasts. Jay has taken on new assignments for Indiana's NewsCenter weather, and you'll still see and hear Jay on Fort Wayne's airwaves.

With more than 20 years experience in forecasting television weather, Chris has exceptional insight and experience. He has forecast weather in many different climates, including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, and Minnesota. Chris says he's been lucky to have experienced all kinds of weather, including Great Lakes snowstorms, hurricanes, extreme heat and bitter cold.

Chris is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and he's a big Cincinnati Reds fan. For him, growing up during the Big Red Machine days was an exciting time. Chris is definitely looking forward to being closer to home.

Chris and his wife have two sons who keep them very busy! When he does manage to get a little spare time, he also enjoys traveling, and has visited Japan, Central America and Europe. Chris says visiting far away places makes you appreciate all the great things we have here at home.
