Oxley to be Long Thompson running mate

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jill Long
Thompson is announcing that she has chosen state Rep. Dennie Oxley
of southern Indiana as her lieutenant governor running mate.

Long Thompson has scheduled a series of news conferences around
Indiana Monday to introduce Oxley. The fly-around is to begin in
Sellersburg, which is close to Oxley's district.

The 37-year-old Oxley is from the Crawford County community of
English about 50 miles west of Louisville, Ky.

Oxley's district consists of all of Crawford County and parts of
six other counties. He was first elected in 1998.
