FORT WAYNE, Indiana (Indiana's NewsCenter)--IN THE MIDST OF TIGHT BUDGETS AND ECONOMIC CRISIS, AT LEAST ONE BUSINESS WE KNOW OF IS FLOURISHING.

Larry: I have actually seen more grief over a little animal, whether it be a dog or a cat, than I have with humans.

WELCOME TO MY BEST FRIEND PET MORTUARY ON NEWAGO ROAD, THE ONLY FULL SERVICE PET FUNERAL HOME IN THE STATE OF INDIANA. EVERY SERVICE OFFERED HUMANS IN OTHER FUNERAL HOMES IS OFFERED TO PETS HERE…LIKE A FULL ARRAY OF BURIAL URNS, AND A WIDE SELECTION OF CASKETS..SOMETHING TO FIT EVERY BUDGET. THIS OAK CASKET IS THE TOP OF THE LINE..

Larry: And it has a velvet interior, which is a little more costly.

LARRY WILLIAMS IS FUNERAL DIRECTOR AT MY BEST FRIEND. HE’S BEEN INTERESTED IN THE BUSINESS SINCE HE TOOK A JAR OF FORMALDEHYDE FROM HIS JUNIOR HIGH SCIENCE LAB 45 YEARS AGO AND EMBLAMED THE NEIGHBORS CAT.

Larry: She loved the cat just simply loved that cat. And she didn’t want to just throw him in the ground.

IN THE GROUND IS JUST ONE OPTION AT MY BEST FRIEND..PETS CAN ALSO BE CREMATED HERE…THEY CAN BE SENT INTO SPACE, FOR AN ETERNAL ORBIT AROUND PLANET EARTH.

Larry: I truly believe when we go they go too. Where? Heaven, that’s where they’re gonna be because it is a life. Any life? Any life, I don’t care if it’s an amoeba.

THAT SENTIMENT MAY RAISE EYEBROWS AT LARRY’S CHURCH..HE’S A BAPTIST PREACHER AS WELL AS A FUNERAL DIRECTOR. BUT THE PEOPLE WHO BRING THEIR PETS HERE APPRECIATE IT, EVEN WHEN THEY LAY OUT A THOUSAND BUCKS OR MORE FOR A FUNERAL FOR FIDO.

Larry: You can beat that dog you can mistreat that dog but that dogs gonna love you. That’s an unconditional love you’re never gonna find with a human.
