FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Sometimes, women don't get along so well with their mothers-in-law.

That's not the case with Stacy Barnett and her mother-in-law, Gladys or "Gladdie" as she's known, from Columbia City.

Stacy nominated Gladdie because she says she's always putting others first.

Four years ago, Gladdie got involved with Freimann Square Ministry in Fort Wayne, a church that reaches out to the homeless and the shelter-bound.

Every week at Imagine Schools in the winter or downtown the rest of the year, Gladdie brings along 12 dozen home-baked cookies and her big, caring heart for the congregation.

When I called with the Angel news, she had no idea what was going on!

Linda Jackson said, "Now, you told me you thought you won the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes!"

Gladdie Barnett said, "When I was invited down here, I knew right away this is where I belong because of so many empty hearts, so many people who needed a hug or shoulder to cry on, and I just knew that was for me."

Stacy Barnett said, "Like I told you in my nomination, it would take forever to tell you everything that she's done for people. She's just outstanding."

Gladdie credits her entire family for making her feel special, and that includes her extended church family
