The Fort Wayne Derby Girls will take on the Lansing Derby Vixens at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, February 15 at 6:00 p.m. in their second home game of the season.
Attendees will get to watch two great roller derby bouts in this post Valentine’s Day match-up. Fort Wayne’s all-star team the Bomb Squad, which is currently ranked No. 105 in the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association, will battle against the No. 115 ranked Lansing Derby Vixens’ All-Stars of Lansing, MI. In the second bout of the evening, the Fort Wayne Derby Girls’ SWAT team will face off against Lansing’s Capital Corruption team.
Partial proceeds from the night will benefit the Allen County CASA Program, which helps train volunteers to become Court Appointed Special Advocates on behalf of children who have been victims of child abuse and/or neglect. Fort Wayne CASA staff and volunteers advocate for the best interest of the child so they have a safe, secure, and permanent living environment.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the family-friendly roller derby action will start at 6:00 p.m.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 the day of at the Coliseum Box Office. Discounted tickets are available for $7 for children and $9 for military, seniors, and college students with an ID. Tickets are also available at Ticketmaster.com for an additional fee. Tickets provide general admission and seats will be available on a first-come, first served basis.
Directly after the event, anyone 21 and over can stop by Break & Run on Goshen Rd. to meet and mingle with Fort Wayne Derby Girls’ skaters at the official after-party event.
