University of Saint Francis and New American Youth Ballet:
An exceptional holiday event for the social service agencies in our community and for the individuals that serve and protect us each day
In collaboration with the University of Saint Francis, Beth McLeish, executive/artistic director of The New American Youth Ballet and Conservatory (NAYB), has announced a special holiday event.
On Dec. 16, the students of NAYB will be performing a holiday classic—“The Nutcracker: For Children…By Children…About Children.”
In the spirit of giving and good will, over 25 social service agencies, including their staffs, the people they support and their families, have been invited to attend this special holiday event.
A second performance will be held in honor of those who serve and protect us all every day: the Fort Wayne Fire Department, Fort Wayne Police Department, 122nd Air National Guard and our local military veterans. These individuals and their families will be guests for the 6 p.m. performance.
Sponsors of this event are Ciocca Cleaning and Restoration, Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep and the Journal-Gazette Foundation.
The NAYB is one of few programs in the U.S. pairing a college preparatory curriculum with ballet training. Its mission is to provide students an opportunity to express themselves through arts, empower them to educate others and to share. NAYB is committed to providing an environment in which students can grow as individuals, touch the lives of others and improve our community.
The NAYB is located at 921 Northcrest Shopping Center Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
