Event Description
Rarely does a night of live music and priceless art directly improve the lives of many adults and children with mental illnesses. So Mental Health America of Allen County has decided to host its third annual “Art To Gogh III”, a different kind of gala, to let you party with a cause for paintings with a purpose. On Thursday, October 13, join us at Ceruti’s Summit Park, 6601 Innovation Blvd., for a fundraiser that will help increase awareness and ensure people who suffer daily from mental illness, intellectual disability, developmental delay, and chemical dependency have equal opportunities for success, work, and play in their communities. Live music and silent auction bidding begins at 6pm with the live auction starting at 7:15pm. Tickets are $50 per person or $85 for two. Tables of eight are also available for 375.
The evening will feature works by a palette of local artists with a variety of styles including, Charles Shepherd, Pat Delagrange, Gary Gerardot, Terry Haffner, Beth Mitchell, Ted & Abby Weimerskirch, Roger Hultquist, and many more.
Pat Delagrange says about Art To Gogh: “I enjoy meeting and working with the other artists at Art To Gogh and it is a very relaxing day; the proceeds go to a very worthy cause and I am looking forward to participating again this year at Art To Gogh III.”
Some participating artists will be painting, molding, and bringing these pieces to life on October 1, 2011, in the lobby at Sweetwater Sound, 5501 US Hwy 30 West, Fort Wayne, IN 46818. This is free, open to the public, and all ages are welcome.
Auction items on October 13, 2011 at Ceruti’s Summit Park include: Philharmonic POPS tickets, Indianapolis Colts autographed memorabilia, two tickets to 2012 Ryder Cup, Spa package at The Forum, Vacation timeshare in Acapulco, Mexico; P. Buckley Moss print; Wine packages, and many more exciting items.
