Hot Air Balloon Festival in Van Wert, Ohio

After a 12 year hiatus, the ever so popular and successful Hot Air Affair returns to Van Wert, Ohio as the Hot Air Festival. We know there are some big shoes to fill, but the Festival committee promises to do their best to bring everyone a most memorable weekend. We plan to fill the skies with wonder as the hot air balloons float and airplanes soar above us.

• We are now taking reservations for the distant hot air balloon rides as well as the tethered rides being offered during the Hot Air Festival at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. Airplane rides will also be available at the Van Wert County Airport as well as Helicopter rides at the Fairgrounds.
The dates for these events are September 7, 8, 9, 2012. So if you are interested in getting your feet off the ground, this is your chance for a nominal fee.

• Special requests for special hot air balloon occasions will not upset us. In fact, we can handle weddings, engagements, anniversaries, anniversaries with renewal of vows and birthdays. What better way to express your love to that special someone in a unique once in a lifetime fashion. And if a balloon ride happens to be on your bucket list, now is your chance to scratch it off.

Several of the Balloon Pilots appearing in the Hot Air Festival this year, are making a test air flight In Van Wert, Saturday, May 12th, 2012 at the Van Wert County Airport. They will be doing this with radio controlled, smaller versions of hot air balloons.

Wes Dickerson, Balloon Meister and Brian Counts, Pilot will be flying these balloons and have invited all interested in viewing or taking part in this event to come out to the Airport. First launch will be shortly after 11:00 am. They will provide demonstrations, instructions and hands on experiences to all, young and old, balloon enthusiasts.

Plan to meet and greet Wes and Brian with a warm welcome to Van Wert and enjoy this flight experience with radio controlled balloons.
