Event Description
The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo’s Wild Zoo Halloween opens tomorrow, Friday, October 19. The event is open from 12 – 5 PM daily.
Highlights of the upcoming weekend include:
Friday, October 19: Free Train Rides
Zoo guests can ride the train for free all day. The train ride features the Halloween-themed “Tale of the Twisted Tree” where riders are invited to find the mythical Twisted Tree in the Franke Park woods.
Saturday, October 20: Star Wars Day
Members of a local Star Wars enthusiast club will appear in realistic Star Wars costumes from 1-4 PM on the Australian Adventure Plaza. Children are encouraged to meet the characters and pose for photos. Bring your own camera. No additional charge above admission.
Sunday, October 21: Mascot Day
From 1-4 PM, zoo guests can meet a variety of local mascots on the Australian Adventure Plaza, including Johnny from the TinCaps, Sparky the Fire Dog, K’Zoo, Bill the Lion, Admiral Andy, Roller Roo, and The Mad Ant.
Regular daily activities include gathering treats, exploring mazes, live animal shows, the Pumpkin Patch, and more.
The Wild Zoo Halloween will continue October 25-28 & 31, with more theme days:
October 25: Pumpkin Decorating Workshop
October 26: Free Train Rides
October 27: Princess Day
October 28: Magic Day
October 31: Zoo animals get pumpkins as Halloween treats

Admission for the Wild Zoo Halloween is $8 for children and $4 for adults. Zoo Members receive $2 off per person every day. Additional fees are charged for the train ride, pony ride, carnival-style games, bracelet-making, and face painting. Food is available for purchase.
