EMPOWER HER WORLD: A CELEBRATION OF FASHION & CULTURE
A Showcase of Global Fashion, World Art & Music, Live and Silent Auctions
All Proceeds to Benefit Local International Advocate to Kenya
Local non-profit fair trade and design company, Creative Women of the World (CWoW), is hosting “Empower Her World” on July 11 from 6:30 - 9:30 PM at the History Center at 302 East Berry, Fort Wayne IN, 46802. Entry is $30 presale, $35 at the door, and will include 2 drink
tickets. This event is open to the public. Fashions from around the world will be showcased, and CWoW will reveal their first world clothing line as local models present the best in global
There will be a live auction of the new clothing line retailed by CWoW. Silent auction to feature items such as: Jewelry from Destiny Rescue, Guitar from Sweetwater, 7-wk djembe drum course by Ketu Oladuwa, artwork from local artists. Featured performers for the night will include Raq the Rivers Belly Dance Alliance, TRJE Remix djembe drum group, among others. CWoW will offer hors d’oeuvres. Drinks will be available at the cash bar.
All proceeds will benefit upcoming CWoW-endorsed mission for long-term International Advocate, Jen Foster. After having spent four months in Nairobi, Kenya this past winter training a group of women in opening their own sustainable business, she will return there in September to continue mentoring them in the growth of their business.
