There are 10 beautiful homes that are on display for self guided interior viewing tours. They include the classic 2 story Tudor (above left) built in 1928 by William Mossman, son of B. Paul Mossman who built the classic West Central Castle Gallery/Mossman home. The Prairie Style home at the right (above) was re-designed by A. M. Strauss for Moses and Hannah Apfelbaum. There is also a one of a kind beauty known as the Benjamin Pollock house. It is one of the few homes ever built that features a central atrium stained glass skylight that runs the length of the 30 foot atrium. Truly a unique home.
Along with these gems are another seven featured homes with very unique pedigrees and designs. This is your chance to acquaint yourselves with the underlying beauty of this classic south side area wonderfully embraced in its towering oak canopy.
Treat yourself to a pleasant walking tour of another beautiful Fort Wayne Neighborhood. The parking is on the street or you may park at the former Taylor University Campus (south side of Rudisill Blvd.) and go from there on the tour.
We look forward to seeing many of our Fort Wayne community at this celebration of our past.
