In honor of Veteran's Day, The Genealogy Center at the Allen County Public Library is presenting the 5th Annual Military Seminar on Monday, November 12, 2012, from 2:00 pm - 7:30 pm. Curt Witcher, The Genealogy Center Manager, will begin the seminar with "Military Records & Our Military Heritage at ACPL." Continuing with the military theme, Laura Prescott, a consultant for Fold3.com and a professional researcher, speaker, and writer, will present "Using an Outstanding Military Site: Fold3."
Fold3.com is a military record website named for the folding of the flag during military ceremonies. And since 2012 commemorates the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 which has been called the second war of independence, Ms. Prescott will also discuss "Online Resources for the War of 1812."
