Event Description
7th annual Wakefest in it's 3rd year at Bixler Lake. Normally Bixler Lake is a no wake lake but we get DNR permits to be on the lake with wakeboarding boats. We are Bixler's ONLY wake weekend. The Ice Breaker is a festival to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We will bring in professional riders like Clayton Underwood, Andrew Shearer, Adam Wensink, and more to perform and also teach clinics. We also have a Breast Cancer Walk around the lake, live music at the luau Friday night, and all day Saturday.
We also have food, a Bag O tournament, and a silent auction. New this year we are hosting a cash prize best trick contest that is sure to bring in some very skilled riders, all season snowboarding, 2012 Nautique boats, and some other new faces from the wake industry.
The luau and meet and great is Friday night from 7-11PM. All other activities begin at 9AM on Saturday and go untill 11PM. Sunday we will have additional clinic times starting at 9AM. Pro shows and live music is free. All other activities are a small minimum donation. Have fun on the beach and help us raise money for the American Cancer Society!!
