Preschool Storytime: Manners
Kendallville Public Library
Tuesdays, April 2, 9 & 16 at 10:00 a.m. & 6:30 p.m.
Young children will learn all about Manners at Preschool Storytime this month. The stories and activities will be great fun for the kids, but will also teach them valuable skills to help them prepare for school. Book Buddies will replace Preschool Storytime on Tuesday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. Registration is not required.

Lego Club
Kendallville Public Library
Monday, April 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 at 3:30 p.m.
We’re kicking off a spring full of building fun at the LEGO Club! No registration is necessary.

Toddlers’ Music & Movement

Wednesdays, April 3, 10, 17 & 24 at 10:00 a.m.
Attention all toddlers. It's time to move and groove at Toddlers’ Music & Movement! We're going to shake, twist, rattle and roll...we're going to bend, stretch, hop and bop...we're going to dance, jump and clap a lot! Join us for 30 minutes of FUN! Open to toddlers ages 15 months through 3 years. See you on Wednesdays!

Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament

Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m.
Teens, stop in for the sanctioned Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament and battle your buddies. There is a $2 tournament fee that should be paid at the door, or pay a $5 fee and receive a deck of cards. Prizes will be given to the top three players!

Speed Stack Session
Kendallville Public Library
Tuesday, April 9 at 4:00 p.m.
So you think you are fast, do you? Come and show your moves using...Speed Stacking! This is a unique and exciting sport where participants stack and unstack 12 specially designed cups (called SPEED STACKS) in predetermined pyramids at lightning speed! Stackers race against the clock in individual events (such as the 3-3-3, 3-6-3 and Cycle) and race against each other in head-to-head relays. FREE snacks will be provided. Registration is not needed.

Preschool Storytime: Fun & Furry Friends

Come and join the fun at Preschool Storytime while learning about our Fun & Furry Friends. Through stories, music, finger plays and crafts our Furry Friends will enable our preschoolers to learn about the world around them. Book Buddies replaces Preschool Storytime on Thursday, April 18.

Peep Palooza

Kids in grades K-5 are welcome to join us for a poppin' Peep party - Peep Palooza! Create a scene from your favorite books using these tasty treats, conduct science experiments and more! There's no need to register.

Rock On!

Tuesday, April 16 at 4:00 p.m.
Join us for an hour of treasure hunting to find stones of unique and notable shapes that Mother Nature created just for us. Those that can find specific shapes and symbols will be eligible for prizes. Registration is not required but requested for prize availability and snacks.

Book Buddies

Book Buddies is a monthly program for 3 to 6 year olds. Fun activities will get your child started in reading and writing. A hardback book along with an educational handout will be given at each session. This month we will focus on letters and words". An "ABC" book will be available.

Twisted Twister
Tuesday, April 30 at 4:00 p.m.
This is Twister with a twist. Be sure to bring old clothes you don't mind getting messy because as long as the weather cooperates, we will be taking this outside for a messy good time. Small dollops of paint will be added to the Twister board to make the game a bit more challenging, and a lot more interesting. Hope you don't mind tie-dye! Registration is not required but is requested.

Strawberry Shortcake Skewers

Make, bake and skewer one of your favorite treats - Strawberry Shortcakes!!! This free program is open to teens. Registration is not needed.

Gardening for a Purpose

Theme gardening is the subject tonight! Master Gardner Sherri Delong will be here to talk about salad gardens, vegetable gardens and salsa gardens. What is your theme? Come and let Sherri give you some tips on the best ways to get the most of out of your garden that will satisfy you all summer long. Registration is requested.

LEGO Quest

Dragons, space ships and creatures, oh my! Each month (on the third Thursday), Lego fans will have their creativity put to the test at LEGO Quest! Are you up for the challenge? It's open to children in grades K-5; no registration is required.

Soup Can Wind Chimes

Help celebrate Earth Day a little early! Children in grades K-5 will create their own one-of-a-kind wind chimes using soup cans and other items found around the house. There is no need to register.

Anime Day

Teens, bring your best art work to Anime Day and come dressed for the occasion. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume and artwork. We'll have pizza and snacks, too! Registration is requested.

Teen Scene is back for a second time this month, and is showing another newly-released award winning movie. "Les Miserables" is set in the early 19th century France the paroled prisoner Jean Valjean seeks redemption, regains his social standing, and rises to the rank of mayor. He encounters a beautiful but desperately ill woman named Fantine and cares for her daughter, Cosette, after her death. All the while he is obsessively pursued by the policeman Javert, who vows to make him pay for the crimes of his past. FREE snacks and pizza will be provided. Registration is not needed.

Adult Lunchtime Matinee

The critically-acclaimed movie, Les Miserables, is coming to the Adult Lunchtime Matinee. Earth Day Every Day

Make Earth Day Every Day! Come to the Limberlost Library to celebrate our planet. Each child will go home with a mystery plant to take care of. Once it's sprouted you can come back to the library and research what type of a plant it is. Will it be a flower? A vegetable plant? Only time will tell! This program is open to children in grades K-5. It's not necessary to register.
