Event Description

November 17, 2010 Updated Nov 17, 2010 at 2:25 PM EDT

The holiday season is here again! Are you looking for some family-friendly, holiday fun that also supports a great cause? Starting next week, the AWS Foundation will host the 16th Annual Fantasy of Lights! Since 1995, this has been one of Northeast Indiana's favorite holiday events. Share the lights with your family, and the light of the holidays with people in need.

Come see Fort Wayne's Franke Park transformed into a spectacular winter wonderland with 70 larger-than-life brilliant, animated light displays including loveable animals, hardworking elves, jolly Santa Claus, fun toys, excited children and families, and majestic nativity figures.
Fantasy of Lights will be open every day November 24th through December 31st, 6-9pm Sunday through Thursday and 6-10pm Friday and Saturday. $5 per car; $10 per 15-passenger van; $25 per bus/trolley, proceeds support programs for children and adults with disabilities.

Fantasy of Lights is open from November 24 through New Year’s Eve, including all holidays. Visitors will see over 75 illuminated and animated displays this year including old favorites and new displays.
6 PM – 9 PM Sunday through Thursday
6 PM – 10 PM Friday and Saturday

Carriage rides are $30 for up to 6 people and $60 for 7 - 15 people. Call 260.691.3780 for reservations.
Snuggle under woolen blankets and enjoy a truly unique experience at Fantasy of Lights – a horse drawn carriage ride! The stillness of night is broken only by the clippity-clop of horse's hooves and the jingle bells around their necks as you leisurely ride through the holiday lights event in a beautiful, turn-of-the-century 20-foot handcrafted carriage.
Steve Cornelius, carriage driver, resplendent in top hat and dress coat takes the reins of the carriage he built that is pulled by two Shetland/half Belgian draft ponies. Carriage rides are available every Friday and Saturday, and reservations are advised. Call Steve at Cornelius Carriages (Columbia City, IN) at (260) 691-3780 for reservations and prices.
