There may not be much green to see, but visitors will have plenty o' cats to see this Saturday at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary in Albion!
The keepers at Black Pine invite the public to come this Saturday, March 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for "St. Catty's Day", a celebration of cats big and small, and the opportunity to visit the wolves, foxes, grazing animals, reptiles and more. Black Pine is located at 1426 W. 300 N., just 1.5 miles west of the intersection of State Roads 8 and 9 in Albion, about 40 minutes northwest of Fort Wayne.
The all new W. Paul Wolf Resource Center will be open with a wide selection of gifts and souvenirs, and the debut of the training room and library, made possible by the Dekko Foundation. The forecast is calling for significant snowfall earlier in the week, so guests are urged to wear appropriate winter attire, including warm boots with good traction as pathways will likely be snow covered with some icy patches. Pathways will not be passable for wheelchairs or strollers. All proceeds of St. Catty's Day directly benefit the animals enjoying refuge for the REST of their lives at Black Pine. For more information visit www.blackpine.org or call 260-636-7383.
