Princess Whatsername
It begins in the Misty Forest, where a girl is sleeping all alone. But when she wakes, nothing looks familiar to her. She can’t remember anything — not where she’s from, how she got here or even her own name! She embarks on a journey to discover her identity and meets several fairy-tale characters along the way — Hansel and Gretel, Rumpelstiltskin, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella and Rapunzel to name a few. Some are helpful, some are dangerous and some are just plain weird, but all have information to help our young girl eventually realize her true identity as a princess. As with any good fairy tale, there’s also a prince! He’s desperate to find the princess, but he’s always one step behind and inadvertently rescues and wins the hearts of all the wrong princesses! A rocking musical score adds even more fun to new takes on the stories everyone loves.

Catch Me If You Can
Wagon Wheel Theatre - Warsaw
Based on the hit DreamWorks film and the incredible true story that inspired it, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN is the high-flying, splashy musical that tells the story of Frank W. Abagnale, Jr., a teenager who runs away from home in search of the glamorous life. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer - living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams. But when Frank's lies catch the attention of FBI agent Carl Hanratty, Carl chases Frank to the end...and finds something he never expected.
The musical production began touring nationally in the fall of 2012 with Stephen Anthony, a recent Wagon Wheel alum, in the starring role.
This delightfully entertaining musical has been created by a Tony Award®-winning "dream team," with a book by Terrence McNally (THE FULL MONTY and RAGTIME), and a swinging score by Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman (HAIRSPRAY).

Wagon Wheel Theatre - Warsaw
Set in the 1920s, the dying years of vaudeville, Gypsy is the story of Rose, an aggressive and demanding stage mother, and her two daughters. Aspiring to be a star herself, she manages to alienate those around her, pushing the girls to perform. Along with the extremely talented collaboration that created this show, Ethel Merman performed as Rose for the entire Broadway run of 702 performances. A film was made in 1962 with Rosalind Russell as mother Rose, and Natalie Wood appearing as stripper Gypsy Rose Lee. Familiar songs include “Let Me Entertain You” and “Everything’s Coming Up Roses”.

Fiddler on the Roof
Welcome back to Fiddler on the Roof, last seen on the Wagon Wheel stage in 1990! This show has become the 15th longest running Broadway musical with a total –in the original run—of 3,242 performances. Considered a classic musical, it depicts the struggle of families who attempt to survive in a hostile world, still holding true to their traditions. Recognizing that all cultures are challenged by change, this story is set in a Jewish village, Anatevka, Russia in 1905. The main characters are Tevye, the milkman, Golde, his wife, and their five daughters. Directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins, Fiddler won 10 Tony awards in 1964, including Best Musical. Songs include “Tradition”, “Matchmaker, Matchmaker”, “If I Were a Rich Man”, and “Sunrise, Sunset”.

And Then There Were None
This year we are doing a murder mystery of three acts in our comedy/drama slot. Recognizing the popularity of the novel, Christie chose to dramatize it for the stage, believing it to be her best piece of “craftsmanship”. The play opens in the living room of a house on an island off the coast of Devon. Ten guests have been invited for a holiday, and then they begin to mysteriously die or disappear.

The Marvelous Wonderettes
Join us for this musical comedy with pop songs from the 50s and 60s, sung in four-part harmony by the girls of the Springfield High Songleaders! They perform first as a last minute replacement for the prom, and again at their ten year school reunion. Opening with favorites like “Mr. Sandman” and “Lollipop”, their thirty-plus hits repertoire will include “I Only Want to Be With You” and “Leader of the Pack”.
