This is the 21st year D.O. Mcomb & Sons Funeral Homes has sponsored Dr. Alan Wolfelt, a noted author, educator, and grief counselor. Last year’s seminars drew nearly 1,100 attendees.

“Dealing with the death of a loved one is extremely difficult,” David McComb, co-owner of D.O. Mccomb & Sons, said. “Dr. Wolfelt has created a program that is essential for anyone who is grieving. He will offer ways to cope and understand your grief as well as the importance of allowing yourself to grieve.”

“Helping someone deal with the death of a loved one is extremely difficult. Dr. Wolfelt has created a program that is essential for anyone who cares for the bereaved, including licensed professionals. We have found that clergy, nurses, social workers, counselors, hospice workers and other caregivers all benefit from the seminar,” explains Walter A. McComb, Jr., President of D.O. McComb & Sons.

“Giving a caregiver the information they need to help others is the goal of programs such as these. You can never be ‘over-educated’ in this area,” states D.O. McComb co-owner, David McComb.

Both seminars are free to those working in Allen and Dekalb Counties. However, a $29 fee will be charged for those attending from other counties. Reservations will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.
