Event Description
Saturday, May 25, 9:00 – 11:00 am
Wreaths come in all shapes and sizes, made from different branches or plants depending upon the time of year. Spring is the perfect time of year to work with succulents and what better way to show them off than in a living wreath arrangement.
Lynda Heavrin from the Park Department’s Lawton Park Greenhouse will show you how this can be accomplished by selecting, trimming and embedding these low-maintenance plants so they can survive and provide you with the artistic arrangement you’d hoped for. Lynda will also provide proper care instructions so that your wreath lives to its fullest potential indoors or out. All you need to bring is a pair of gardening gloves; everything else is taken care of.
Ages 12-adult. Registration deadline: May 10. Min. 10. Max. 35. $72/public; $68/Conservatory volunteer or member. Held at Botanical Conservatory, 1100 S. Calhoun St. To register, call the Park Department at (260) 427-6000.
