Bring your lunch and join us for an entertaining “garden moment” at the Conservatory on the last Thursday of each month. Speakers offer interactive programs on a variety of botanical or ecological topics. Free coffee and tea will be provided. Regular Conservatory admission applies. Members and volunteers are free.

Beautiful spring flowers start in the fall! Advanced Master Gardener Penny Alles shares everything you need to know about landscaping in the fall season including information about lawns, flowers, and great clean-up ideas. This class will teach you how to get ahead of the game as well as pointing out the benefits your yard will receive for next spring. You’ll also learn about brilliant flowers that bloom in autumn. Tips will be given on when and how to start getting your yards debris and waste removed so you won’t harbor pests and diseases. Are you ready for your yard to look better than your neighbor’s? Getting ready for the holiday season can put a hole in your pocket rather quickly, but you can make small holiday paper decorations for next to nothing. Conservatory volunteer Nancy Jimenez will show you how to make two or three imaginative things from nothing but paper and markers, customizing them to your preferred holiday: Thanksgiving, Christmas or Halloween.
