Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis has announced that tickets for the 2012 SpeedFest on July 26-27 are currently on sale to the general public. SpeedFest will once again feature world class racing as the USAC Series and the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards takes to the lightning fast .686-mile oval during the two days of racing.

“We are proud to once again host these events as the eyes of the racing world are focused on the city,” said Wes Collier, general manager of Lucas Oil Raceway. “USAC and ARCA have been great partners of ours and they put on some of the best racing in a unique and intimate setting during the course of the nights.”

On Thursday the USAC series start the weekend when the Midget and Silver Crown Series take the green flag for an action packed double header night of racing. Past USAC Midget winners at the track include Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman and Johnny Parsons.

The USAC Silver Crown Series will be 100 laps of non-stop action as the best pavement racers in the country battle for one of the most prestigious wins in USAC and can launch a racing career of the winner.

Friday night will mark the second consecutive year the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards takes to the oval. Featuring the finest young talent in stock car racing, ARCA is a platform for racers to hone their skills for the next level in their stock car racing career.

“The tradition and history of Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis are certainly important to ARCA, as is the market geographically,” said Ron Drager, president and CEO of ARCA. “We perceive ourselves to be an organization with a Midwestern foundation, and our recognition is strongest in this area of the country. Indianapolis is also a key market for series presenting sponsor Menards, and we look forward to building on the success of ARCA’s return to Lucas Oil Raceway last season.”

ARCA has 20 races at 18 tracks this year, and their next event will be at Salem Speedway on April 29 and the series will race four times in Indiana this season, with two races at Salem Speedway, Winchester, and Lucas Oil Raceway.
