Driving Miss Daisy by Alfred Uhlry; direction by Louise Jones
January 9**, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19*,24, 25, 2014
Winner of the 1988 Pulitzer Prize, this warm-hearted masterpiece has been delighting audiences for 25 years. From 1948 to 1973, Daisy, a wealthy Jewish southerner, employs Hoke, a soft-spoken, proud chauffer. Time makes them realize they have more in common than they ever believed was possible (and more than the times and circumstances of their lives would ever allow them to admit).
The play stars Kate Black as Daisy, Everett Collier as Hoke, and Scott Rumage as Boolie. The costumes are by Jeanette Walsh, set and technical direction by Bob Sutton, and lights by Corey Lee.
