Event Description
Twilight Garden Walk Features Gardening Tips, Music, Demonstrations
Purdue Master Gardener volunteers will offer gardening advice, music, and workshops for beginning and veteran gardeners at a Twilight Walk at The Allen County Extension office on Saturday, July 14th, beginning at 5:30 PM
Attendees at this free event can tour the Display Gardens - 18 separate theme gardens designed to educate citizens about plants suitable for tough Midwestern conditions. Bring your plant diagnostic samples to the gardens for a free analysis.
This year, national award winner Ted Yoder will play hammered dulcimer for all to enjoy. Enjoy free ice cream and attend a volunteer-led tour of the gardens or stroll around with Ricky Kemery, Purdue Horticulture extension educator on a tour of the grounds areas. Purchase bargain perennials at the Glade for a dollar a plant. The event is free to the public, and free parking is available at the parking garage across from the Extension office located on the IPFW campus
The event will occur rain or shine. Call the Allen County Extension office at 260-481-6826(option 3) for more information.
