Event Description
Aging and In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana (AIHS), the Area III Area Agency on Aging, will provide emergency and non-emergency health and safety home repair assistance to low-income homeowners, 60 years of age or older and/or physically disabled and 55 years of age and older, through their new Senior Home Repair Program.
The goal of the program is to maintain seniors and disabled individuals safely and independently in their own homes through repairs and modifications appropriate to the residence and personal health conditions of the owner. Qualifying residences must be owner-occupied and within Fort Wayne city limits.
Funding for the Senior Home Repair Program is provided by a Community Development Block Grant, through the City of Fort Wayne, Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services. For more information and pre-screening, call Aging & In-Home Services’ Aging & Disability Resource Center direct line 469-3036.
