Brickworld is excited to be bringing the premiere LEGO® display and
exposition back to the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne, IN for the third consecutive year. The event is expanded this year to 24,000 square feet of displays, interactive activities and vendors because of the tremendous crowd of over 5,000 people that attended throughout the weekend in 2012, rivaling the public attendance at our event in Chicago.
When asked how he would describe Brickworld events to someone that hasn’t attended, Event Organizer, Bryan Bonahoom, said “Brickworld is a place where you can go and lose yourself in the fabulous details of amazing creations that are all made from the world’s most flexible art medium – the LEGO brick.”
Brickworld displays include trains, robots, cityscapes, space stations, and much more. Bryan also added “We are energized to come back to Fort Wayne because the LEGO fans and the entire city are so excited about the event.”
The LEGO brick is widely recognized as one of the most educational toys in the world. At Brickworld, kids of all ages can witness an incredible variety of ways to use the brick for art and engineering applications. Using the LEGO brick exercises creativity, engineering skills and hand-eye coordination. The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) educational value of the brick is captured by Cummins Inc. (a Brickworld sponsor) in their interactive engine build. They use a LEGO model of their QSK-95 Hedgehog as a tool to discuss engines and engineering with kids and adults around the country.
