For Immediate Release:
One man will bike 1700 miles to raise $170,000 to renovate The EDGE building in downtown to benefit Fort Wayne's Hungry & Needy.
From Sept 25 - Oct 14, local FW resident, Ken Sanders will ride 1700 miles from St. Augustine, FL to Elletsville Indiana.
The goal? To raise $100 per mile to finish a local downtown building renovation project before winter, so the Poor do not have to wait outside in sub-zero weather to get basic clothing and food.
The 110-year old former PORN shop building is being renovated to house InAsMuch Ministry, which started helping the Hungry of Fort Wayne over thirty years ago. InAsMuch is supported by 22 churches in Fort Wayne Associated Churches organization
and has outgrown it's current home in Broadway Christian Church's basement. The Edge will allow InAsMuch to better serve the Fort Wayne Community.
Please consider how you can spread awareness & get involved. Learn more at http://www.edgeride2011.com
InAsMuch's mission is to help people in need, offer Hope through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and promote personal responsibility.
It's named after Jesus' words while He walked on earth. He said, "Inasmuch as you have done it to the least of these, you have done it to Me."
Already $328,000 of the $498,000 to complete the renovation project. We are almost there, but still need $170,000 to finish the renovation.
That's the reason for EdgeRide 2011. We need to raise $100 for every mile of the 1,700 mile bike route from St. Augustine, FL to Ellettesville, IN.
ALL DONATIONS ARE 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Plus 100% of your donation goes to the Edge Renovation--that's right, Every Single Dollar Goes to the Edge!
Ken Sanders will be posting daily updates on Facebook during his 1700 mile bike route.
