Victory Noll Center in Huntington will join in a nationwide program on March 14 to address the issue of hunger in the United States and the world.
Every year since 1974, the organization Bread For The World has invited churches and groups across the country to take part in the Offering of Letters, urging for changes to policies, programs and conditions that allow hunger and poverty to persist.

Fasting and Almsgiving are Lenten practices. The Bread for the World Offering of Letters 2013 campaign is “A Place at the Table,” encouraging joining thousands of others to write letters to lawmakers in support of federal programs that help hungry and poor people.

Victory Noll Center, located at 1900 W. Park Drive in Huntington, will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 14 as they take part in this effort. They will have information, writing materials and the addresses of legislators to help prepare individual letters. This outpouring of concern sends a powerful message to political leaders and helps to make a difference in the lives of low-income families.
There is no cost and no registration for the event.
