Fort Wayne Trails is hard at work to enhance our vibrant and healthy community by expanding out trail network, and to provide the opportunity for residents and visitors to experience the trails firsthand. to maximize your engagement with us and our community's trail systems.To promote our core mission of enhancing healthful living, we have two races coming up to challenge you and get you out on the trails and support Fort Wayne Trails!

Pufferbelly 5K
Presented by Fort Wayne Pediatrics
Sunday, Sept. 18 at 1:30 pm
Cost: $20 by Sept. 1
$25 after Sept. 1
$3 for Kid's Fun Run

Now in its second year, the Pufferbelly 5K (and new this year, a one mile Kid's Fun Run) is run on the Salomon Farm Trail and the newly constructed section of the Pufferbelly Trail from the Parkview YMCA to Wallen Road. Proceeds from this event will be used to further our work in converting the former New York Railroad into a paved pathway that, when completed, will link downtown Fort Wayne to Pokagon State Park.

2011 Lutheran Hospital Great ANT Race 5K/10K

The Fourth Annual Great ANT Race has historically attracted hundreds of participants locally and regionally, and showcases the beautiful multi-use Aboite Trails, on the southwest side of Fort Wayne. This race will feature a 10K Run and a 5K Run/Walk. Starting and ending at Deer Ridgeelementary School on Scott Road, all proceeds from this race go to benefit the construction of more trails in Aboite.
