Lions & Tigers and Beer, Black Pine! Black Pine Animal Sanctuary in Albion announces its annual beer tasting and whole-roasted pulled pork dinner to benefit Black Pine's Ohio Tiger Relief Fund, established for the rescue of four more tigers being displaced from Ohio in the wake of new laws that recently became effective.
Lions & Tigers and Beer, Black Pine! will take place on Saturday, October 6 and will feature many different beers to taste, a wine tasting table, a freshly-roasted pulled pork dinner, music provided by DJ TKO, a silent auction, and sanctuary tours. Guests will meet the newest arrivals at the sanctuary and proceeds of the event will help fund the rescue of Taz, Ticha, Sammie and Delilah. The cats are expected to arrive in Albion later in October.
Tickets are on sale now and cost $25 in advance of the event, and $30 at the door. They may be purchased online at www.blackpine.org, or by phone at (260) 636-7383.
Attendees must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid phnto identification in order to enter the sanctuary. The event will be held outdoors, rain or shine, and some shelter from inclement weather will be available. In the event of chilly temperatures, a bonfire will be lit.
Be sure to bring extra funds to take advantage of Black Pine's always great silent auction! This is the only silent auction held to benefit the animals, so be sure to plan to shop!
