Autism awareness is celebrated all throughout the month of April through different methods and events. With new studies saying that 1 in every 50 children within the US are being diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, there’s never been a greater need for autism awareness than now. That’s why Hopebridge Pediatric Specialists will be putting on a free autism awareness presentation on Monday, April 29 from 6:30 – 8:00pm at the Hampton Inn. This presentation will be given by Rachel Miller, one of Hopebridge’s Board Certified Behavior Analysts. She will be covering all the early signs of autism that can be detected in toddlers.
“It is very important for parents and caregivers of young children to understand the signs and symptoms of autism. The earlier a child can be diagnosed with autism, the earlier they can start therapy services. This early intervention can lead to greater success for a child later on in life and maybe even allow for them to outgrow their diagnosis,” said Rachel Miller.
This presentation is open to any parent, caregiver, educator, or professional that is interested in learning more about how to detect the signs of autism early on in a child’s life. The presentation is free of charge, but registration is required. Please call 260-471-9263 for more details or to reserve your spot.
