At 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014 the Fifth Annual Docs vs. Suits softball game will take place at Parkview Field. The seven-inning slow-pitch tourney, where physicians and medical students play against area business men and women, provides funding for scholarships and program development at IU School of Medicine-Fort Wayne. The Suits lead the series, 3-1.

A live band comprised of local physicians will provide entertainment before and during the game, and the concessions stands will be open provide their usual fare. Fans can cast votes for their Docs and Suits favorite players. The player on each team with the most votes will win the MVP award. Additional activities include door prizes, giveaways and a silent auction by the Fort Wayne Medical Society.

Over the last four years this event has raised more than $250,000. The proceeds have provided funding for students scholarships at IUSM-FW, equipment for faculty research efforts, and curricular enrichments such as ultrasonography and simulation exercises.

Admission to the game is FREE! Please join us in cheering on the doctors, students and business people as they slug it out on the field.
