Beginning at 8:00 AM There will be a carnival for kids of all ages until 6 PM. During this same time there will be a rummage sale, cakewalk, silent auction, bake sale, and a visit from the Allen County Sheriffs department SWAT team. Starting at 11 AM-5 PM there will be an on-site barbeque provided by Big Lacy’s BBQ with partial proceeds being donated. The beer tent opens at 11:00AM and starting at 12:00PM Julie Hadaway will be performing live and from 3PM-6PM we will be entertained by the music of the Lost Horsemen. Wilson the magician will perform acts of illusion from 2:00-4:00PM.
All monies raised will be used to assist with the medications that Steve needs to survive. This has become critical as Steve’s health continues to deteriorate due to the dialysis he requires three times per week.
Steve Angel formerly from Fort Wayne was born with only one kidney and now has end stage renal failure. Steve, a graduate from North Side High School class of 1976 has been struggling for many years and now needs a kidney transplant.
Steve was on the active waiting list at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana for a new kidney. He has now been placed on hold due to his inability to pay for the expensive anti-rejection drugs he needs. On June 26, 2010, a fundraising campaign will be held in conjunction with the National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF). All monies raised will be used to assist with the medications that Steve needs to survive. This has become critical as Steve’s health continues to deteriorate due to the dialysis he requires three times per week.
