Event Description
DeKalb Health has openings for individuals and teams to participate in its 2012 Annual Charity Golf Classic, scheduled for Tuesday, June 5, at Bridgewater Golf Club, Auburn. Golfers of any skill level are encouraged play as prizes will be awarded to teams that place first, second, third, and second to last. The $120 per person fee covers greens and cart fees, beverages on the course, and dinner. The deadline for registration is May 25.
On the day of the event, the driving range opens at 11:00 a.m., and check-in begins at 11:30 a.m. with tee time at 12:30 p.m. Not only will players will have special contest opportunities to test their driving, chipping and putting skills, mulligan’s will be available to purchase. Additionally, each golfer will receive a souvenir golf gift and door prize. The evening will conclude with dinner and awards.
Funds raised annually from the outing go toward scholarships for DeKalb County residents who are pursuing an educational degree in health care. This year 16 students will be receiving $1000 dollar scholarships each and two students will be awarded $2000 each. Names of those recipients will be released in the next few weeks.
