Ft. Wayne’s Farmers Market (FWFM) is delighted to announce the start of the winter shopping season with the opening of the 2013-14 winter market this Saturday, October 5, 2013.
The Market features 40 vendors. Over half of the booths will offer items from the “farm category” which is comprised of fresh local meats: including free range, hormone free, GMO free or organic, cheese, free range eggs, fruit, vegetables: including organic or chemical free, honey, maple syrup, wine, free trade locally roasted
coffee, and plants.
New for this season, hours of operation have been expanded to 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. with dates expanded to include the first and third Saturdays October 2013 through May of 2014.
Dates for the Market are as follows:
October 5th: First market of the season!
October 19th: Purdue Agricultural Extension Office will answer your canning questions
November 2nd: Cooking demonstration by the Parkview chefs
Dec - 7th & 21st
January 4th: Cooking demonstration by the Parkview chefs
February 1st: Cooking demonstration by the Parkview chefs
March 15th: Cooking demonstration by the Parkview chefs
April - 5th & 19th
May - 3rd & 17th
