NeighborLink Fort Wayne has been connecting neighbors by leveraging web-based technology to meet community needs that go unmet for the past 10 years. On Friday, April 26th from 6pm until midnight, NeighborLink Fort Wayne in partnership with Founders, a co-working space in downtown Fort Wayne, will be hosting a website “Hack-A-Thon.”

This Hack-A-Thon invites area web developers, graphic designers, and mobile application developers to join together for a night to “give back” by using their skills to help NeighborLink Fort Wayne get as much of their new website programmed as possible. NeighboLink Fort Wayne has been planning and re-designing their website over the past few months and are ready to move to the development phase. Developers are invited to come for an hour or stay all evening. NeighborLink mobilizes thousands of volunteers through this website each year

“This evening has the potential to save NeighborLink several thousand dollars and several months of development time that can now be directed towards mobilizing more volunteers to help vulnerable Fort Wayne homeowners who seek assistance though NeighborLink.

Using the web to connect people and transform communities is a huge proponent of our organization as we mobilize thousands of volunteers through our site each year. We can’t do that without the support of our local tech community and partners like, Founders, who help connect us to that community.” – Andrew Hoffman, Executive Director

More information & event registration for the Hack-A-Thon can be found on the NeighbortLink website at www.NLFW.org or call 260.710.7611.
