FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- In this week's episode of Cool Science Monday, Martin Fisher from Science Central will talk about summer science camps.
Martin Fisher combined some chemicals and made a gas. He poured some vinegar, an acid, into a plastic water bottle. Next, he added some powdered baking soda, and placed a balloon over the bottle’s opening.
The vinegar and baking soda combined, and produced a gas called carbon dioxide. Scientists would write it as CO2. This gas went into the balloon, and caused the balloon to inflate.
This activity will be done in Science Central's upcoming Summer Science Camps.
