Today's "Cool Science" saw Martin Fisher use a device called a "Tornado Gun"

It's a device that fires a pencil down a tube at a block of wood or drywall at tornado-force winds. Tornado damage and injury is caused by debris flying around at high wind speeds. The Tornado Gun simulates twigs or straws that can impale the side of a building or telephone pole.
