CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago Bears are making some changes after
their disappointing 7-and-9 season. They cut former Pro Bowl wide
receiver Muhsin Muhammad after three seasons in the
Windy City. Muhammad, who turns 35 in May, caught 40 passes for 570
yards and three TDs last season. Muhammad spent his first nine
seasons with the Carolina Panthers and made two Pro Bowls,
Chicago also gave defensive end Alex Brown a two-year contract
extension and declined a 5.2-million-dollar option on defensive
tackle Darwin Walker. That makes Walker a free agent.
