FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - For one special math teacher at Hertiage Junior-Senior High School was nominated for and received December’s Golden Apple Award.
Melissa Reichhart was nominated for her ability to not only be an instructor inside the classroom, but a role model outside the classroom.
According to her students, she extends herself outside the classroom walls because she understands that being a school teacher is more than just earning a paycheck in between the sounds of the bell.
