KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A Kosciusko County boy was sentenced for his role as a triggerman in the death of a friend's step-father.
Paul Gingerich was 12 when he pleaded guilty in November to one count of "conspiracy to commit murder" in the death of Phillip Danner.
He faced up to 50-years in prison but was sentenced to 25.
Prosecutors say Gingerich and 15-year-old Colt Lundy shot Danner multiple times in his rural Kosiucsko County home last April.
They told investigators they wanted to run away to Arizona to sell t-shirts.
Lundy was sentenced to 25-years in prison. 12-year-old Chase Williams was sentenced to a juvenile facility for his role as a lookout in the murder.
