Gunmen Attack Catholic Mass In Nigeria

KANO, Nigeria (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Gunmen opened fire Sunday on a Catholic Mass at university theater in northern Nigeria, killing at least 15.

While there has been no claims of responsibility, Nigerian officials suspect Islamist radical Boko Haram may have orchestrated the shooting at Bayero University as part of his separatist aspirations. The shooting is the latest in a series of attacks targeting law enforcement and Christian churches across northern Nigeria.

The Red Cross not yet to assess the area Sunday morning, so no numbers on deaths or injuries were confirmed by the agency.
