Suspect Sought In Family Dollar Robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne police are looking for an armed robbery suspect at a south side store.

Witnesses tell police a man walked into the Family Dollar Store at 3312 E. Paulding Rd. around 12:30 p.m., wearing a mask and carrying a knife.

Witnesses say the man jumped a checkout counter and demanded cash.

The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. Police have yet to find him.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'7" tall, 130 lbs. and wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and black pants.

Employees outside the store tell Indiana's NewsCenter the store was closed for the rest of the day as a result of robbery.
