As a way to spread awareness and help these candidates understand where the money they raise is going they run alongside a boy and girl of the year. This year the Girl of the Year is Kellcey Nichols, a senior at Snider High School. Nichols is currently in remission from Hodgkin Lymphoma. The Boy of the Year, Grayson Snyder, 3, is currently undergoing treatment for acute lymphoblastic lymphoma.
