KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) - A Cromwell man is hospitalized in critical condition after a pick-up truck crash Friday night in northeastern Kosciusko County.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department says a vehicle pulled into the path of the truck driven by Javier Lopez, 45, along CR 100E near CR 1050N. Lopez swerved his truck to avoid the other vehicle, left the roadway, rolled the truck and hit a utility pole.

Lopez and a front seat passenger, Miguel Sanchez, 30, of Syracuse, were flown to a Fort Wayne hospital.

Sanchez was treated for serious leg injuries, police say.

Witnesses tell police the other vehicle was not hit in the crash, and left the scene shortly after the crash.
