GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) - The Indiana State Police has released incredible video of a crash between an Indiana State Trooper patrol car and a semi-truck.

Trooper Chuck Meyer was investigating a crash Saturday afternoon in the northbound median of Interstate 69 near milemarker 266 when the semi-driver slid on the snowy roadway, and slammed his rig into the trooper's car and cable barriers.

Meyer was standing outside of his car during the collision, but was not hit. He was taken to a hospital for some pain from attempting to avoid being run over.

Minutes prior to the semi hitting the trooper's car, another car and another semi slid and drove between the median and the patrol car, narrowly missing Meyer.

The collision with the second semi came as Meyer reported the first semi-driver, who continued northbound on I-69.

The driver of the semi that hit the trooper's car was cited for reckless driving.
