FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Fort Wayne police are still looking for the person(s) who have been luring buyers with the offer of selling an iPhone 5 and then robbing them at gunpoint.

Two reports were filed earlier this month about someone selling an iPhone 5 on Craigslist and then robbing the buyer at gunpoint when they met.

Now, Fort Wayne police have shared two additional reports of a similar crime.

iPhone Seller Uses Instagram For Robbery
The first was actually reported Aug. 15 where the victim had made arrangements through Instagram to buy an iPhone for $150. The victim told police that he knew the seller and they met by the Renaissance YMCA around 9 p.m. and then walked to a house he believed was on Hurd St.

The victim told police that the seller asked if he had the money and when he replied that he did, the seller pulled a gun on him. The victim said he gave him the money and then took off because he didn't want to get shot. He returned home before calling police.

Craigslist iPhone 5 Seller Robs Man At Gunpoint
The second incident occurred Thursday. The victim, who was from Angola, told police he was in contact with a seller from Craigslist that was selling an iPhone 5. The victim said they were originally supposed to meet at the Bob Evans on Dupont but the seller asked to meet at a home near St. Mary's and Spring.

The victim says when he arrived at the location the seller handed him the phone and he sat in his car to inspect the phone with the interior lights. The seller then got in the passenger side of the car and demanded, at gunpoint, that the man take everything from his pockets. The seller then told the buyer to drive and they drove about 200 yards west.

The victim told police that the black male demanded the iPhone 5, the cash and the victims other phone (an iPhone 3). The victim was then told to drive away without looking around or the seller would shoot up the car.

The victim was able to give police part of the sellers phone number and described the man as mid 20's, short hair, mustache and beard, about 5'10'', skinny with a medium dark complexion.
